Dateline 2-Apr-2008
The Official UCI rankings for each of the disciplines puts the following four riders at the top -
Cross-country Olympic : Julien ABSALON (FRA)
Downhill : Samuel HILL (AUS)
4X : Brian LOPES (USA)
Cross-country Marathon : Thomas DIETSCH (FRA)
But with three counting XCO events over the next five weeks there are likely to be major reshuffles in that section. However it will not be until Andorra at the end of May that first multidiscipline event is held more... Fort William follows that just one week later.

Of the events listed so far the Sunshine Cup series in Cyprus looks like a great way to take a break in the sun. However this list from the UCI only has one event from the US and none from Australia. So further checking around the web was needed.
The first batch of additions to the calendar was the list of events at Mountain Bike Australia and you can look for your self rather me repeat them here. The main points to note being the National Championships from Thursday January 24 to Monday January 28, 2008 at Mount Stromlo, Canberra more.. and the 07/08 National Series more..
